The CHESSPLOSION tournament, organized by SQUAREHOPPER CHESS EVENTS, took place on July 1, 2023, in Romeoville, Illinois.
Abir, a student of Chess Gaja, participated in the tournament.
In the CHESSTATIC COMPETITION section, Abir scored 2 out of 4 points. Despite losing to a higher-rated player with a rating of 1780, that player eventually secured 1st place in the tournament. Abir’s strong performance resulted in a gain of 6 rating points, raising his rating from 1169 to 1176.
