This time, 20+ Chess Gaja students from Singapore are preparing to compete in the prestigious 76th National School Individual Chess Championships (NSI) 2025!

Format and Time Control
- 9 Rounds FIDE Rated Swiss System
- 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment per move
- Default time: When the clock runs to zero
Prizes & Recognition
- National Prizes: Top 10 in each category will receive trophies, while players ranked 11-20 will receive medals.
- National Rapid Chess Championships: The Top 3 in U20 and the Champion of U16 will earn invitations to compete, with entry fees waived.
- Zone Prizes: The Top 5 from each zone (North, South, East, and West) in each age category will receive medals (subject to participation levels). Minimum 3 points required for eligibility.
- Non-MOE Prizes: The Top 5 from non-MOE institutions in each age category will also receive medals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participants must be currently studying in an educational institution physically located in Singapore (government, private, or international schools).
- Participants must compete in their respective age categories based on their year of birth:
- U8 Open/Girls: Born in 2017 or later
- U10 Open/Girls: Born in 2015 or later
- U12 Open/Girls: Born in 2013 or later
- U14 Open/Girls: Born in 2011 or later
- U16 Open/Girls: Born in 2009 or later
- U20 Open/Girls: Born in 2005 or later
- A FIDE ID is required to participate in this event. Singaporean/PR participants can apply through the Singapore Chess Federation.
