Chess Gaja students demonstrated excellence and showcased their talents in multiple events held in the United States last week(14th to 20th December 2023). Below is the list of events along with their results.
2023 National K-12 Grade Championships(FL)
US CHESS FEDERATION hosted the 2023 National K-12 Grade Championships on December 15-17 2023, in Orlando, where an impressive performance from our Chess Gaja student was witnessed. Neil demonstrated notable progress by scoring 5 out of 7 rounds, resulting in an increase in his rating from 1885 to 1900. Mihika showcased his progress by scoring 5 out of 7 rounds increasing her rating from 1561-1585 and won with a higher-rated Prajit(1808). Vikash made his progress by scoring 5.5 out of 7 rounds and increased his rating from 1575 to 1626. Nithish showcased his progress by scoring 3 out of 7 rounds, increased his progress from 492 to 520, and won with a higher-rated Kavin (722).
SATURDAY SWISS 12162023
TEXAS CHESS CENTER hosted the SATURDAY SWISS 12162023 on 16th December 2023, in Plano where an impressive performance from our Chess Gaja student was witnessed. Akshay increased his rating from 1418 to 1496 by scoring 2 out of 4 rounds and won with higher-rated Julian (1577) and Mokshith (1617).
2024 OPEN CITY QUALIFIER -2
NASHVILLE CHESS CENTER hosted the 2024 OPEN CITY QUALIFIER -2 on 17th December,2023 in Nashville where an impressive performance from our Chess Gaja student was witnessed. Hemachandra showcased his progress by scoring 3.5 out of 4 rounds, increasing his rating from 2133 to 2146, and becoming champion of the tournament.
SUNDAY SWISS 12-17-23- OPEN 121723
TEXAS CHESS CENTER hosted the SUNDAY SWISS 12-17-23- OPEN 121723 on 17 December 2023 in Carrollton where an impressive performance from our Chess Gaja student was witnessed. Arjun made his progress by scoring 2.5 out of 4 rounds and increased his rating from 1721 to 1730
THE WINTER PHYSICS/MATH CHESS OPEN
MHK CHESS CLUB hosted the THE WINTER PHYSICS/MATH CHESS OPEN on 16th December 2023 in MANHATTAN where an impressive performance from our Chess Gaja student was witnessed. Gurugrahan made his progress by scoring 3 out of 4 rounds, increased his rating from 1615 to 1653, and won with a higher-rated Kenneth (2045).
