The National K-12 Grade Chess Championship 2024 is set to take place from December 6th to 8th at the stunning Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. With an exciting lineup including Bughouse and Blitz tournaments on December 5th, this is a must-attend event for chess enthusiasts across the nation.

- Dates: December 6-8, 2024 (with Bughouse & Blitz on December 5th)

Important Updates:
- Entry Fee Increase: To encourage early registration, entry fees have been increased this year. Register early to save on fees and assist in better event planning.
- New Behavioral Policy: Any player engaging in disreputable conduct during the event may be removed from the tournament and site without a refund.

- Online Registration: Available until 11 AM ET on December 5. No on-site registration will be accepted.
- Entry Fees:
- $100 if registered by October 21
- $150 if registered by November 11
- $225 if registered by November 25
- $350 until 11 AM ET on December 5
Event Schedule:
- Opening Ceremony: Friday, 12:45 PM
- Round Times:
- Grades 2-12: Friday (1 PM & 6 PM), Saturday (9 AM, 1:30 PM, & 6 PM), Sunday (9 AM & 2 PM)
- Grades K-1: Friday (1:30 PM & 5:30 PM), Saturday (9:30 AM, 1:30 PM, & 5:30 PM), Sunday (9:30 AM & 1:30 PM)
Special Tournaments:
- Blitz Tournament: K-6 & K-12 on Thursday, December 5 at 5 PM. $50 entry fee by November 25, $80 thereafter. Online registration closes at 2 PM; on-site registration closes at 4 PM.
- Bughouse Tournament: Thursday, December 5 at 11 AM. $50 per 2-player team. On-site registration only from 9-10 AM.
Awards and Recognition:
- Individual medals and team trophies will be awarded across various grade levels and classes. All participants will receive a commemorative item.
